week 6

Yellow scottish dog, still boring and doesn't look anything like my other items. 

Scottish dog thing. Bit boring isn't it. 

This design didn't work as a poster cover but I might change the colour of the lines to black and make it the cover of my fourth thingy me bob. 

Design where I derived my final poster design from. Just needed some more oomph. Maybe add some shit to the background because the white is so stark. The yellow is really nice. 

tried to turn the paper ball clump into a shoe. I do not enjoy it one bit. 

Dont like the text here, the image just overruns it. They kind of colide in a non aesthetically pleasing way.

I like the text down the bottom left corner, however I think I could raise it up a little. 

I like the placement of the text on this side of the page, just not here. 

Colour isn't enough. Also it isn't very interesting at all. 

Needs colour.

Another trial for poster design. Just made it into a tooth and added some colour to it. I hate it truthfully, it needs something other then this grossness. 

This design needed something else. The white was just to stark and eugh. So I decided to add the cork board image underneath. 

Information page. Added the speakers names as a scribbly note to the side just so people can remember and its also in order of whats in the brochure. 

Keynote speaker spread,  made it look different from the rest by having a cork board background. 

timetable layout, will add colour to it and some kind of background to make it more interesting and easier to read. 

Final poster design. Need to add logos. 

I tried using the scrunched up paper forms and drawing around them etc. to make them into something other then a lot of scrunched up paper. this was an example of turning it into a bay with boats in it, 

Playing with text placement, dont like it here. It ends up on the other side.

Design from over the weekend that I had forgotten to screenshot. I had one of both my own scrunched up paper with drawings and the other one had blank scrunched up plain balls.

new idea. I like it. Lee told me to add colour, to add oomph. I tend to agree with that comment. I like the idea of creating form out of ideas that you have scrunched up and thrown into the corner. Going back to what you had originally look at

New idea for my speakers pages. A bit collagen, pin board/ mood board kind of idea. I enjoy it. Its like putting different ideas up and all that shit. Has a personal quote from them on the side. A picture of the artist nd their work will also be included.

What lee told me to try, I ended up not really liking it and decided to try something else so went looking for inspiration. 

I really liked this quote and hands on, hand written look. Will definitely use this as an idea. 

This book had lots of artists and good quotes from them about artists block. 

I liked the idea of barbed wire in the form of pencils. 

Me trying out the creative block box idea. I like the name for it "stuck on design". I think ill definitely continue with that. However I dont think I actually like the creative box idea. Maye its because I took the photos at night so the paper is a weird colour. Maybe its because its so central, I just dont think its working at all. I have a few more screenshots of different layouts of it below as well.

Top, barbed wire keeping you out of the idea zone, other one on the top is the list of swear words and other words to do with how you feel about creative block. The next one is the scrunched up paper idea one. The bottom one is an electric cord, cut of etc.



Brick wall, no way through. Bottom left, locked out or in away from the creative awesome ideas. The bottom right is that your handcuffed and cant reach the ideas you want.
